ARE YOU APPOINTMENT ONLY?
While we recommend booking an appointment to ensure enough time for your piercing service, we also welcome walk-ins! If possible, give us a quick call beforehand, even 10 minutes ahead, to let us know you’re on your way.
DO I NEED TO BRING ID?
Yes, everyone is required to bring government-issued ID to their appointment to verify your age. We will not pierce you without ID.
HOW OLD DO I NEED TO BE TO GET PIERCED?
Age requirements vary by piercing type.
- For most piercings, you need to be 14 or older, with a parent or guardian's consent if you're under 18. This includes having them accompany you to the appointment to complete a consent form.
- If your parent or guardian can’t attend in person (e.g., they live elsewhere), please message us in advance to discuss alternative options.
- Lobe piercings are available for ages 6 and up, with parental or guardian consent.
- Nipple piercings are strictly for those 18 and older, with no exceptions.
DO YOU USE A NEEDLE OR PIERCING GUN?
We use sterile, single-use needles for all piercings! Unlike piercing guns, needles can be fully sterilized, are much sharper to avoid blunt force trauma, and allow us to use high-quality jewellry that can't be inserted with a gun.
CAN I BRING MY OWN JEWELLERY TO BE PIERCED WITH?
Short answer — it depends!
We use pre-sterilized, internally threaded titanium jewellery for piercings. Unless you can show that any jewelry you bring is from a reputable manufacturer, we can’t verify its grade or quality, so we won’t be able to pierce with it. However, once your piercing has healed, we’re happy to help swap in your own piece! We actually recommend coming back to see our piercer when you’re ready to change jewellery to ensure it’s fully healed and safe to switch.
CAN I BE PIERCED IF I'M PREGNANT OR BREASTFEEDING?
NO!
We don't pierce anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding due to the slight risk of infection. It's just not worth it.
HOW TO TAKE CARE OF FRESHLY PIERCED PIERCINGS?
Aftercare differs based on the piercing and we ensure to go through it during your appointment so we can answer all your questions and discuss a routine that works with your lifestyle.
CAN I RETURN JEWELLERY?
For health and hygiene reasons, we cannot accept returns or exchanges for body jewelry once it has been worn, as it is considered “contaminated” and unsafe for resale. We also do not accept returns or exchanges due to a change of mind or incorrect sizing. If you're unsure about sizing (e.g., gauge or length), please contact us before purchasing.
Anodized Jewelry: The anodizing process is delicate and can result in slight color variations, so please note that jewelry tones may differ slightly. Because of this, we do not accept returns or exchanges on anodized jewelry.
We only accept exchanges if the jewelry is faulty upon delivery and the package sticker remains unopened. Every item undergoes a detailed inspection before shipping, and any returns are subject to the discretion of Kiki Piercing.
